We’re one week out from closing on our new home with Jordahl Custom Homes, and I am so excited. Not only are we moving into a new home, but we’ll be closer to the kid’s schools and closer to their friends (hello, play-dates). The hardest part about waiting for our new home to be finished is the driving across town multiple times a day for school drop off and pick-ups. I think we use a tank of gas every three days, sheesh.
Anyways, I popped by the house yesterday and snapped a few progress pics. Can you even?? I’m so in love with every selection that we’ve made. It’s so fun to see the items we picked out and designed come to life. We will be adding a lot after moving in, such as these pendant lights and a kitchen backsplash.

I’m on the hunt for cabinet hardware for our kitchen, pantry, and bathroom. Typically, you can select hardware through Jordahl, but we weren’t 100% sure what we wanted. I’m so glad we waited because I have had my eye on these knobs and pulls. I ordered samples and just waiting on them to arrive before I pull the trigger and purchase enough for the entire kitchen. I think the antique brass would look so pretty with the green cabinets.
The flooring we selected is Mohawk Perfect Manner Amulet and has already been discontinued since we picked it out last summer. We will be finishing the basement soon and will need to find something similar. I will share what we find. The cabinets are Sherwin Williams Pewter Green. Can’t wait to see our range hood!

I have also been shopping around for bathroom mirrors. I purchased these modern, tall mirrors for our bathroom and have my eye on this arched mirror for the kids’ bathroom. Again, you can get the standard mirrors through Jordahl, but we omitted mirrors and will install our own after moving in. We’ve added our own mirrors with each of our builds. Adding modern or unique mirrors is one way you can easily customize a builder-grade bathroom. We used this round mirror in our first bathroom, and it’s still one of my favs.
Our living room will need new furniture as we sold our last sectional. I purchased this rug and hoping to pair it with a gray or creamy sectional. I have my eye on the Dune Sectional in Clamshell Performance Stonewashed Linen, but we want to move into the space before making a final decision.
Here’s a peek into our primary bedroom. It’s a smaller room, but I think the vaulted ceiling really helps it feel larger than it is. I think with the vault, the ceiling is around 12′ tall. Can’t wait to get our new rug in here!
I’ll share more house sneak peeks on my Instagram; stay tuned for more!
