If you follow me over on Instagram, you may remember that I promised to do a rug tour of all of the rugs in my current home. I’m going to warn you now, I’m breaking this rug tour up into 3 blog posts – downstairs rugs, upstairs rugs and rugs from our past home because let’s be honest, I have a lot of rugs. Can you have too many rugs? Asking for a friend… I will try to share pictures that show a true representation of each rugs color and texture. Let’s face it, buying rugs online is so hard! Living Room
Let’s start with my most popular rug in my living room, the Layla. Isn’t she a beauty? The colors, the pattern, the texture, it’s all SO good.
This 9’x12’is a printed rug and very low pile, making it the perfect rug for kids and pets. The pattern literally hides ALL the things. Like that one time I spilled an entire cup of coffee on it and you can’t even tell. Oops! It is a thinner rug so I recommend this pad to go under it. I’ve received a numerous amount of DM’s asking the true color and honestly, it’s hard to tell from the pictures. It does have a lot of greens and navy tones, but my tan floors really bring out the golden brown tones. The Layla is by far my favorite rug in my home. If this color doesn’t work for you, there are other color options and designs available, literally so many options!
Office/Playroom
Heading over to our office, which is adjacent to our living room, we recently added the Theia. Theia has more of a modern pattern with lots of gorgeous colors. There is a lot of tan and golds, but also some pink undertones. This rug is one of the softest rugs I have ever felt underfoot. Our office doubles as a playroom so it’s a perfect rug for the boys to play on. Plus the pattern works really well at hiding dirt and all the boy things they track in. Perfect if you have kids, if you know what I mean. Our office is pretty small so I went with a 6’x9′. We actually used to have the Theia in our master bedroom of our first home in the silver color. The pattern was different too and oh so pretty! You really can’t go wrong with this rug.
We recently updated our office with this Loloi Rug from their new Giada collection in ivory. I mean, can you even?! I’m so in love with the color and pattern, it’s like it was made for our office. What do you think?

Kitchen
Moving over to our kitchen, we recently updated our runner with the Giada rug in denim. That blue denim color just sings to my soul. I knew I wanted something moody for this space and that vintage/timeless pattern is perfect for our kitchen (plus hides all the food spills). What more could you want in a kitchen runner?
That concludes the downstairs rug tour. Which rug is your favorite?
I’m still looking for something round for our entryway that will hide all the muddy footprints. Once I find something, you’ll be the first to know, of course. I’m also on the hunt for a small vintage rug for our pantry and/or half bath so please let me know if you have any good recommendations. Rug tour upstairs edition is coming so we’ll chat soon!
